Christmas Away from Home

After 25 years, this was the first Christmas I spent away from my family. It’s kind of a strange feeling not to be at the Christmas Eve Wigilia (a Polish tradition that involves lots of strange fish and the ever-tasty Oplatek). But I went to midnight mass (a 2 1/2 hour service — way long on those hard wooden benches) and will spend Christmas Day with my fiancee and her mother and sister. My family will join us here in a few days.

Anyone else away from their families over the holiday? Or just away from the Ping? ๐Ÿ™‚ -ram

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!

Let's be nice.
