A month or so ago, out of the blue, a coworker expressed his surprise that I don’t use cologne.
When I was a teenager, I did. I think many teenagers, especially boys, try to hide the guilt and shame of a painful adolescence through Jovan Musk. Right? Old Spice, maybe? But somewhere in my adult years I just stopped caring about cologne. It seems superfluous. I keep clean, I use nice-smelling soap, and that’s that.
I just hope I’m not stinky.
