Today’s 10.4, which is Annual Good Buddy Day. Also I just made that up.
But thanks to the internet I learned that 10-4 was just one of a series of ten codes, kind of a communication shorthand. Most of them have been taken out back, and cooler heads have prevailed. So instead of saying, “10-4” someone might just say, “I got it.” Or they might say, “Thank you, friendly friend.” I prefer the latter.
