I used to keep a journal and, in the early days of the web, of course I put it right on the web. Who wouldn’t?
Well, 34-year-old me wouldn’t. So I don’t. I found a fantastic app: Day One. I love this thing. It’s secure, it uses iCloud or Dropbox for storage, and makes writing entries a joy and not a chore.
I like its approach: journaling should be as effortless as posting a tweet or Facebook update. Add photos, video, whatever, but just get it out.
I haven’t spent five bucks on a lot of apps but this was definitely money well-spent for me. Good show.
