Echo Nest has a ton of data about music. Want to see something cool they’ve done with it?
Make a roadtrip mixtape. Enter your trip’s data and the Echo Nest will create an Rdio playlist based on the towns you’re passing through (presumably while you should be passing through them, though I haven’t confirmed that for sure for sure). Click the dots on your map along the way and see what local bands will be playing along the way.
This is some pretty cool stuff. (The first mobile app to combine this data with your GPS location wins!)
