Neighborhood Christmas Decoration Update: June 2012

You may remember when I wrote about the house last year that kept their Christmas lights up and on until April. They never did end up putting lights up this past holiday season, but I did want to share information about two other houses in our neighborhood.

The first house keeps their poorly strung Christmas lights up all year long. They start turning them on before Thanksgiving and then stop turning them on sometime around Christmas. This year, they added a wreath above their front door. And it’s still there.

The second house I pass on my morning walk with our dog. Until the last week of May, I spotted their Christmas tree up and decorated through their family room window. I was shocked when they finally took it down (though what looks like Saran Wrap still covers the inside of the window).
