If you like science fiction shows, time travel, alternate universes, and any of that stuff, you owe it to yourself to watch Fringe. It airs tomorrow (Friday) night on Fox here in the US.
Fringe started four years ago with a bit of an X-Files vibe, sticking to procedurals of strange things, but kicked things into high gear at the end of its first season with a hell of a cliffhanger. I won’t give it away, for sure, but the series only got stronger from there. There’s enough humor here and there to keep things light. I highly recommend starting back with the first season and going from there, but record the new ones too.
Fringe has also been teetering on the brink of cancellation for a while now, as has been the case with many good shows. I’d like to see it stick around for a fifth season – even an abbreviated one – but I’m not sure it’s a slam dunk.
That said, it’s one of my favorite shows on the TV right now. Check it out.
