Hairstyle

When was the last time you changed your hairstyle?

For me, I went most of my life – 5th grade until I was in my mid 30s with basically the same cut, just at different lengths. Looking back, it was pretty lame. Then, one time, I asked my barber to “take a little more off the top” and she went crazy. Then another time, another barber took it even shorter. And, wouldn’t you know it, the super-short buzz cut is doing it for me. Anything that lets me sleep an extra five minutes in the morning is a clear win.

I’ve had trouble finding a hairstyle I really liked. I spent most of my childhood and part of HS with a simple part on one side, nothing fancy. But some haircutters got adventurous and made my hair taller – I remember spending a lot of time making sure my hair wasn’t TOO flat.

Then I got a bad haircut once in HS and got totally teased for it. I went into the bathroom between classes, got a bunch of water, and just slicked all of my hair back. I ended up keeping that hairstyle for a while – lots o’mousse and gel.

Did the Clooney cut at the end of HS and college, which worked out pretty well, but on a whim at a barber I asked him to just give me a buzz cut. He did, and I’ve had that haircut ever since.

The only next step for me, as I’ve mentioned many times before, will be to shave it all once my bald spot is really large. The only problem is that a bald head actually requires *more* maintenance than a buzz cut. Opps.

What is this then?
