How do they stay in business?

There are those places you see around town that have been there forever, but no one ever seems to go to them. You wonder how they manage to stay in business. One of those places near us is the Little Rock Motel, just north of Leesburg, Virginia on route 15. I’ve driven by it countless times and there’s never more than a car or two in the parking lot. Just enough to indicate the place isn’t abandoned, but not enough to not give me the creeps (or, at least, make me wonder how they manage to stay open).

This is Google Street View‘s shot of the place:

And you know how people love to complain about hotels online? Just to give you an idea of how mysteriously un-frequented this business is, both Trip Advisor, Yelp, and Yahoo! Travel are completely void of reviews. And they have no web site of their own.

Do you have any local businesses that manage to stay in business only by the grace of the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

It must be a front for the mob. That’s what I always say about such broken down joints here in New Jersey.

What is this then?
