Ticket to Ride

We’ve written a few times about board games before, but somehow we’ve never mentioned Ticket to Ride, one of the most popular modern board games around.

The goal of the game is to build train routes between cities, with extra points being granted for routes you have on cards you are dealt. Of course, when you’re playing against others, they may build certain connecting routes before you do, thus forcing you to take circuitous routes to build to your final destination.

The game takes about 90 minutes to play with five players (as always, doubling the time listed on the box is a good idea) and is really a heck of a lot of fun. It moves relatively quickly, so there’s not a lot of sitting around and waiting for someone else to go.

What board games have you been playing recently?
