Oreo Fame

You know, thanks to the Ping, Paul and I have had some nice media exposure over the years. Like the Chicago Tribune series about Oreos (me in part 1, Paul in part 2). But, clearly, neither of us has had any media exposure quite as prolific as on Mary Kate’s blog:

“It’s some kind of rush that once you get a taste of it, it’s hard to not eat it,” Ryan MacMichael, intern studying those who consume Oreos, said. He was comparing an Oreo cookie to a drug in relation to its unhealthy cravings.

An intern! At the Ping, I guess, she means.

Anyway, thanks to Mary Kate for the wonderful mention those many years ago. She’s sort of a big deal, after all, because her teacher was considering naming her blogger of the week!

I never knew Oreos had unhealthy cravings. It makes me wonder what sorts of things Oreos crave. Perhaps that can be the next study that intern Ryan MacMichael undertakes. Or have you moved on from being an Oreo intern?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
