A movie I must see: Record City

I’m pretty sure that this movie needs to find its way to my TV screen:

Here’s a harmless comedy that is very much of the 1970’s. And it’s a lot of fun too. It’s basically a rip-off of the 1976 hit “Car Wash”. They changed the setting to a popular record store in California. We get to meet all the bizarre and funny workers and customers who pass through Record City. The big event happening is a live radio concert in the parking lot hosted by a wild and crazy DJ (Rick Dees wearing a half-ape costume). We see live performances (see clip below) and comedy acts. Filled with bad jokes, slapstick humor, music on vinyl, skateboards and some sexy 70’s hotties. Take a look at that cast!! You have stars from “The Love Boat”, TV’s “Batman”, “F-Troop”, “Dukes of Hazzard”, Gallagher performing his comedy routine, Rick Dees with a bad 70’s haircut & moustache singing “Gorilla Man”, Oddjob from “Goldfinger” and fucking Kinky Friedman! You don’t see that line up every day! An obscure find worth a look for lovers of silly 70’s comedy.

Need more convincing this may be the best movie you’ve never seen? Check out the first and third clips on this page. (Paul, the theme song sounds like it’s a fresh start, doesn’t it?)
