Yay for day-late Pings!
I was going through some old links the other day and re-discovered this gem where a guy made his own Apple IIgs laptop. The keyboard is even true to the old GS-style keyboard, it uses a GS motherboard, and has a Compact Flash adapter to function as a hard drive controller. What’s extra great, though, is the attention to detail. He’s added a backlit “][” logo and vertical air circulation slits (which are unnecessary from a functionality standpoint because “this machine gets about as hot as your average pocket calculator”) to invoke memories of the portable Apple IIc design. It really is stunning.
