I think we’re at the point where we can stop specifying that a TV is a “flat screen.” I’m pretty sure you can’t get anything but flat-screens anymore, so let’s retire the phrase and just assume that all TVs being discussed are flat screen unless it’s specified that they’re tube-y or projection-y.

I recently – recently! – heard someone reference a black and white TV in a standup act in a non-ironic sense. I wonder if that was a flat screen.
