The other night I needed to make a single cupcake and wanted to do so with as little work as possible. So I followed this recipe and then microwaved it for 90 seconds instead of baking it. I’d heard of these so-called microwave mug cakes before and figured I’d give it a shot.
While the result wasn’t something I’d actually serve to someone–it was spongy and kinda odd–it was actually a little more edible than I would have expected. Basically, the texture was off, but the flavor was OK.
Pretty cool. Next think you know, you’ll be able to microwave popcorn.
