I found this amusing in a “funny story at the end of your local newscast” kind of way: Jimmy John’s is suing another sandwich shop over sandwich similarities. Sassy!
Halsted Street Deli, which has all the appeal of a street, has a sandwich called the Tom Turkey. Jimmy John’s has a sandwich called the Turkey Tom™ which, as you can see by my liberal use of the trademark symbol, is actually trademarked and has been since 02. Halsted also offers a Hunt Club, countering Jimmy John’s Hunter’s Club™.
This has really put a damper on my plans to open a restaurant of copycat foods. I guess I’ll need to revise the menu to not include the Wooper, the Big Mc, Chicken McNugs, You Select Two, Twisty Fries, or Coke Zero.
