While I enjoy movies and have seen a fair number in my lifetime, it always seems like I haven’t seen the “right” ones.
For instance, I’ve only seen the original Star Wars once – and that was in 1997. I haven’t seen any of the others. I haven’t seen Friday the 13th, Citizen Kane, The Godfather (I fell asleep during it,) or any James Bond movie.
This leads to incredulous reactions when people discuss movies they’ve assumed everyone has seen. “How could you have not seen that?” is common, as is, “You’re kidding, right?”
On the other hand, I have seen all of the Back to the Future films. That counts for something.
