We don’t subscribe to a lot of magazines in our household, but two that we do receive for a variety of reasons are Real Simple and Newsweek.
Real Simple, of course, chooses to ignore its own name and clocks in with at least 250 pages every month. It’s 286 this month. In contrast Newsweek is clearly struggling and barely hits 64 pages. It’s usually 56 or thereabouts. Of course this is due to a lack of advertising: I see fewer than a dozen full page ads in Newsweek. That’s pretty crazy.
