In the DC area, 12 new hhgregg stores are opening. I’d never once heard this name before and my immediate thought when I saw “appliances and electronics” was, “The second coming of Circuit City.” While they’re not directly connected with Circuit City, they are swooping in at former Circuit City and Linens N Things locations.

But go to their web site and look at their menu bar. See anything odd?

Yes, they sell appliances. They electronics. They also sell computer items. But why in the world are they selling mattresses?
