There’s nothing that makes you feel older and more out of touch than realizing a phase popular with young kids has completely passed you by. That happened this past week with Silly Bandz.
What are they? Basically little rubber bands kids wear around their wrists in mass quantities (because these things always have to be in mass quantities… like baseball cards and Pokemon). The (admittedly) kind of cool part is that when taken off the wrists, the rubber bands pop back into shapes of boats, animals, or words/acronyms. Sure, they’re just another cheap product manufactured for the mass market pushed on little kids… but at least they don’t cost too much.
