Weeds

Holy smokes, I have no idea what to do about weeds.

There are a small number of weeds on my lawn and, to be honest, those aren’t the ones that bother me. The ones that bother me are the ones that are now spreading like… uh… you know through my dog run, which is just pea gravel on top of dirt. But I’m not sure how to get rid of them given that our pooch hangs out there quite a lot. That is, chemicals are a no-go.

This is a pretty big area. Any ideas? I’m half-considering just shoveling up everything and starting from scratch.

Tonight I was muttering to myself, “My weeds have weeds.” I blame it on the 5′ of snow that lingered on my yard for more than a month. I have no ideas although I’d like to hire someone to pull them AND do my ironing.

You can safely roundup the stuff growing over the pea gravel. Just keep the dog off it for a few hours. Roundup becomes inert quickly, and once it is dried it poses no hazard to the dog.

jk: Ironing and weed pulling sounds like a killer one-two punch. Honestly.

COD: I’d like to stay away from RoundUp if I can; it’s kind of a last resort for me. But then, I think I’m pretty much out of other options.

Maybe a small goat?

What is this then?
