After Friday’s excellent Google Pac-Man, a nice accompanying article to read (sadly, without screenshots) is this piece on Pac-Man clones from earlier in the month. Of course it covers my favorite, K.C. Munchkin, but also ones I hadn’t heard of like Scarfman (TRS-80), Snack Attack, and Snapper. Get this — there was even one called “Pacman” (without the hyphen). Makes me wonder if there was one named Man-Pac who was a backwards, evil Pac-Man that chased the good guy ghosts. As the article notes, there was even a text-based Pac-Man. Thrilling!
