As someone that grew up using and learning on an Apple IIe, nothing heartens me more than seeing people still doing cool stuff with it. Everytime I see someone PEEKing and POKEing, it makes me want to fire up my old computer and see how much I remember about using it.
One such example is this super-awesome project that takes a user’s twitter avatar and their most recent tweet and displays it in LORES or HIRES on an Apple IIe. And it’s done by flashing lights on the joystick input! Craziness.
