A few weeks ago while I was on vacation, I stopped in a bookstore and bought a couple of cheap books. A couple were from the $1 pile and one I bought was $4, but discounted to $3 because it was “25% off” day at the store.
Today I looked the $3 book up on Amazon to see if there were any newer editions and what others had thought of it. What I found surprised me. The book was long out-of-print and the cheapest used copy was selling for over $100!
Needless to say, unless this book turns out to be life-changing, once I finish reading it, I’m putting it up for sale for $90. Triginttupling my original investment would be pretty good, I’d say!
