Drugstore of Choice

Man, this is late.

We have two major drugstore chains in our area: Walgreens and CVS.

CVS is the newcomer and has only been around for 5 years or so. But their stores? Way better than Walgreens for one reason: carpeting. I’m not sure why it makes a difference, but having carpeting makes going to the store for NyQuil and Q-Tips almost luxurious.

Walgreens… really, I can take or leave ’em. Nuts to ’em, I say.

Which drugstore is your pick?

Walgreens please! I develop my digital prints there, plus they have really good BOGO sales. I study the weekly flier like I am cramming for a Final.

Around here, CVS is the old schooler and Walgreens are the new kid on the block.

I frequent CVS since it’s closer and 24 hours, but that’s about the only reason. It’s a scary place the later in the night you go. It’s also the place I once saw a man with a severe sunburn rip his shirt off in an aisle, screaming in pain, while his girlfriend grabbed lotions from the shelf and started smearing them all over his skin.

But does anyone really know what CVS stands for? I do, and once let Dennis Regan know what it was during a stand-up gig that I was at with Ryan. Repeat after me, “Convienence, Value, & Service.”

That was a classic moment, Matt. I remember the shocked look on his face as you ruined his next joke for him. 🙂

What is this then?
