All Gmail, All the Time

More and more lately I’ve been hearing about this “Gee Mail” product. It’s a big hit!

And more and more people have been converting over to it full time. I’ve thought about doing this, but I’m a little hesitant. I’m an old fashioned guy who still likes to use POP on a standalone mail app. (In fact, I use Mail.app.) That doesn’t mean I don’t use the web interface now and again – I certainly do – but I feel a little squeamish about turning over all the keys to the castle to Google.

The downside? If I send a message from my Mac, Gmail has no clue about it. And vice versa. That’s really too bad.

Have any of you converted fully over to the Gee Mail? Anything you regret?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
