This Ping redesign took 7 years and cost $58 million in taxpayer dollars.

Corporate Twitter

First, I post a tweet with a question about a Trader Joe’s product.

Two minutes later, the user traderjoes follows me.

Then, a few random people reply with responses to my question.

I look, and the traderjoes user has retweeted my original tweet, which is presumably where others have seen it.

But the traderjoes user seems to not be an official Trader Joe’s account, just one set up by “afficiandos” to retweet. Weird.

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
