So it appears I will soon be joining the ranks of those people who have BlackBerrys (and man, that looks wrong spelled that way.) I’ve heard mostly good things about the device, although it certainly doesn’t have the same quiet cool of the iPhone. I’ve also been told that I’ll soon be addicted to it.
Are there any things I need to know about this little device before I get it? Do I need to play more Nintendo DS games in order to make my thumbs stronger? Do I need to wear glasses that magnify? Should I call it the RaspBerry?

As you know, I had to carry a Treo around for work for a while and I hated that POS. The Blackberry seems like its in the same class, but for your sake, I hope it’s not. 🙂
Why come not going for iPhone?

Just promise you don’t become one of those people who just looks down at his BlackBerry all day, regardless of whether people are talking to you or not. I deal with enough of those on a day to day basis.

Not an option – yet. BlackBerry or nothin’, and BlackBerry seems to be the way.
One interesting aside is that apparently BlackBerry software sucks on the Mac… which will make things even more interesting.

Turn off the vibration, tone and blinking light for new email notification. You’ll look at it enough – no reason to become a slave to incoming email.
