Highly Underrated: Cash Cab

My Highly Underrated series of Pings is 1-2 right now, with the one being pretty darned good. I’m hoping to make the series 2-3 by calling out the great game show Cash Cab.

The premise is simple. Passengers get into a cab and answer trivia questions on the way to their destination. There are multiple rounds, and cash values only go up. Get three wrong and you’re kicked out, on the spot, and you’ll have to find another cab to get you to your destination. Sucker.

The show is kept light by host Ben Bailey; he’s funny without being cloying although I do tire of his schtick now and then (particularly pretending that an answer is wrong when it’s really not.)

It’s not necessarily a show I’ll make time to watch, but it’s worth watching whenever it’s on. Good stuff.

That’s a great concept!

If we stumble on Cash Cab while we’re flipping channels we tend to stay and watch. You have to admit, it’s a fairly easy program to both participate in and view.

It does crack me up on some of the questions people need their “shout outs” for.

Ciao,

What is this then?
