I think I’ve found the recipe for the perfect movie:
- A robotic crim-fighting dog
- Conraid Bain
- Wesley Eure, former host of Finders Keepers
- Red Buttons
- Jim Backus
- A random dog who’s thoughts we can hear
Sure, you can predict pretty much every scene before it happens and you can map every character to a character from any other 1970s or 1980s comedy, but that’s part of the charm of the classic that is C.H.O.M.P.S. (thats “Canine HOMe Protection System,” in case you were wondering).
Anyone remember this one? As far as I’m concerned, get this and Super Fuzz and you have the perfect double-feature.
