I’ve got to say that I missed the Guitar Hero boat, for the most part. Fun? Probably. But it’d be even more fun if it ran on a Commodore 64, right? Done. It’s not perfect, no, but come on.
It’s really hard to pick out the most impressive part of Shredz64. Is it building an interface from the PS2 Guitar Hero controller to the 64? Is it coding it on the 64? Is it the fact that a 26-year-old machine can still be viable in some fashion? Yes, yes, and yes, I say.
The Commodore 64: It Just Won’t Die. Rock on!
