If I need to go, I need to go. But there are three places I’ll try to avoid going.
- The train. Not just any train, but my train that I take to and from work. It has a bare-bones bathroom which is nice, but the problem is that there’s no running water and no soap! There is a dispenser with hand moisturizer but, really, you’re gonna need a lot more than that.
- Target. I love Target as a rule but also as a rule, their bathrooms are terrible. Dirty, stinky, messy, icky, and other adjectives that end in “y”.
- Porta-potties. Almost the same reason as #1. No hand-washing facilities, dirty, smelly… just awful.

1. Outdoors with no cover.
2. Side of a building.
3. Your front yard.

The title of this Ping should be “Three places I won’t poop”. I have a tiny little thing of hand sanitizer in my car, so if I need to go somewhere a little dirty.
Besides, isn’t that one of the better things about being a guy? Not having to sit down to pee? Sorry ladies, not to brag, but it’s always nice to be in and out of a bathroom in 90 seconds, hand washing included.
One day, we need a Ping where the men discuss the oddest places they’ve peed at, in an “emergency”. I can hear women saying “Oh my…” already.

Some Targets are better than others. I won’t even go into Target stores in dense urban areas, but in the far suburbs they can be quite nice, both clean and well-stocked.
