AT&T Loves Colors

I get a phone bill every month. This makes sense because I have a phone.

While it’s down to just a couple of pages the second page of the phone bill is devoted to Fun Facts. Legal disclaimers and silly things that only a brand manager would care about, in other words. I really wish they were fun facts – but instead there’s stuff like this.

Over the last several months, we’ve transformed the AT&T brand to reflect our commitment to our on-the-go customers. As more customers seek to stay connected at home and on the road, we’re borrowing from our mobility group and including more orange throughout our communications. In the next two months, you’ll see more AT&T orange on your bills. Why? We’re in the business of keeping you connected, and we want you to know it.

Ohhh, so orange means connected! Got it.

What a stupid waste of time and money. Remember, someone had to write that. Maybe on a TPS report.

BUT did they use the new cover sheet for the TPS report??

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
