What are your opinions/experiences with regards to “regifting”?
I’ve always felt a little weird about it, but we did it this year a couple of times. Always with stuff that’s still “like new” and in its original packaging, nothing used. And nothing we’ve received from close family members. It took me a while to get over the idea of giving a gift to someone that might get more use out o fit than holding onto it just because it was “thoughtful.” But, really, passing it onto someone else can be a better way to respect the gift you’ve been given than to let it just sit and linger in your house, unused.
Have you ever gotten a really obvious regift? Like a used baking utensil from a relative with food still on it? Or one shoe? Or maybe a half-a-box of tissues?
