Household slackness

I’m sure (or at least, I hope) we all have at least one housekeeping duty that we don’t keep up with. For some people it might be cleaning the toilet (ew). For others it might be dusting. Or maybe it’s laundry – would you rather buy new socks and underwear than do laundry? Or, perhaps, you can’t stand vaccuming, even with a Roomba.

I think for me, it’s dishes. Not matter how hard we try to make sure that when we’re done cooking, we clean the pots and pans, or how much we make sure to use the dishwasher whenever possible, we still end up with a few too many dishes in the kitchen sink by the end of the week. And our dog? Jeez, don’t even get me started. That lazy girl won’t pick up a paw to help with dishes (and licking them doesn’t count).

Joan, Queen of Shower Soap Scum.

I also have some recycling that I need to take to the center; I found a place via earth911.org that accepts mixed paper. I generate VERY little trash now as a result.

I’ve done most of the cleaning around the apartment.
My roommate is one lazy sob. His idea of doing the dishes is to let them sit in the sink for a few weeks an not bothering to put them in the dishwasher.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
