The Pillowig and Other Great Things

Sometimes I wonder if people develop products or start projects with the Ping in mind. One of those is Joo Youn Paek’s Pillowig, a wearable pillow that allows the wearer to easy fall asleep wherever they are. And they can look absurd while doing it! This “portable sculpture” is quite excellent, as are the explanatory materials. “User test done in public spaces – subway, airplane, library, class room, laundromat and a old palace.”

Joo Youn Paek’s started a number of other nifty projects, including the baffling “Ping But No Pong Game”, the polite umbrella, and the Organic Oriental Plant.

Here’s to hoping this creative young man’s next product combines his Pillowig with a Chillow. I can dream, can’t I?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
