Are you looking for the perfect starter home? A little fixer-upper, built in 1880 located in suburban New Jersey?
This house is only a few miles from where I grew up and for as long as I can remember, it’s been abandoned. I have a vague recollection of seeing a limo parked there one time, but maybe I was imagining things.
A while back, I asked someone associated with a NJ-based haunted/abandoned building group if they knew anything about the house. The most I could get was that “one guy said it might be haunted.”
Wish I had more to tell you about this house on Dixontown Road, but alas, that’s all I’ve got. I’ve always wondered what’s inside (maybe it’s time to find out) and what the layout and history of the house was.
I guess I’ll never know more beyond what this listing tells me: “Wood Exterior. Kitchen. 3 Car Drive. Value is in the Land. Structure is not habitable.”
(For more detail, here are two more pictures that my wife took a few years ago.)

Wow, that sure isn’t habitable!

It looks like it wouldn’t even survive a half decent rainstorm! And the fact that there are “haunted” rumours is hardly surprising – just the sight of it gives me the heebie-jeebies!
