A week ago I noticed something strange about a commercial that popped on TV: it referred to the “Freedom Day Sale” going on, yes, through Freedom Day – July 4th.
The first thing I thought was, “That wasn’t just me right? They said ‘Freedom Day’, right?” They sure did. Thing is, even a cursory Google search found nothing talking about a US-based Freedom Day.
Maybe it’s just a new thing: businesses and other folks can make up names for holidays. In that case, today is Ping Revolutionary Celebration Day – mark it on your calendars.

When you think about what our founding fathers really did on 7/4/1776 – today clearly should be Treason Day.

Too bad it’s not a “Freedom Day against advertisements!” Man, I’d vote for that!
I used to complain about paying a TV license when I lived in Scotland. But, you know?, it covered two networks that were commerical free. I guess you couldn’t beat that!
Ciao and Happy Independence Day!
