I realized I’ve talked about him before but I thought it’d be nice to take a moment to thank the late, great Don Herbert – TV’s Mr. Wizard – who died this week at the age of 89. Sure, he led me to get excited about normal household science experiments and sure, I hated the Safari segments of the show, but he still made science not boring for many, many kids.
So thanks, Mr. Wizard. When I jump through a paper hoop this weekend I’ll remember your show.
