Every year, I think TV hits new lows. Usually reality shows fill the bill, of course: having people do crazy stuff on TV for money, prizes, or whatnot. But ABC is really trying to redefine the bottom with National Bingo Night.
It’s come to this. There’s nothing else that they can show, so they’re showing bingo. On TV.
National Bingo Night is a high-energy, truly interactive game of luck based on the hugely popular American pastime.
This from the same network that brought you Lost. It’s… bingo.
I’m looking forward to next summer’s series, National Hokey Pokey Night. And maybe there’s a shuffleboard show in the works! That would be awesome!

I find it hard to believe that the best game show host in America, who was unemployed..of course, was the British-sounding carpenter from Extreme Makeover: Home Improvement.
Wake me when it’s “National Curling Night”.

He IS British, not British-sounding and no he was not unemployed–he was asked to host the show as well as continue Home Makeover. You will now see him on TWO ABC tv shows…how many are you on? 🙂

You missed the point. I’m saying out of all the unemployed game show hosts, who have previously hosted game shows, why choose a carpenter? After seeing the first episode, as nice as a guy as he seems to be, I was right in my original critique.
As far as ABC tv shows…none. As far as radio stations, I’m on 9 radio stations in 3 states doing traffic. I’ll survive.
