Square One Television

Square One TV.

The concept was brilliant: a kids’ TV show that made math fun. It obviously worked, because I still remember a lot of the show’s music videos to this day. And the better news? YouTube never forgets.

“Ghost of a Chance” has been in my head for many, many years – particularly the line, “45 are real ones, 45 are fakes”… referring to snakes. On a floor. Also: “Perfect Squares” has been in my head next to “Ghost of a Chance”.

Then there’s “8% of My Love”, wherein fractions become a ballad. A fraction ballad!

Most people remember Square One for MathNet (or maybe MathMan) but let’s not discount the rest of the awesomeness.

I remember Math Net! That was one of my favorites. It seems like I caught the end of all the good tv shows. MathMan was great!
I also remember 321 Contact.

Does anyone know where can I get copies of the old Mathnet Show? I’m a 5th grade teacher and I’d love to have them for my class. Thanks, Justin Ezzi

What is this then?
