Maybe I shock easily, but when I was walking behind someone the other day who was drinking a soda from 7-11, I was shocked when he just tossed it onto someone’s front lawn.
I’m against capital punishment except in the case of littering. In which case, I’m totally for it. Oh, and jaywalking, too.

This surprises me, too, but I mostly still see it from moving cars. People aren’t throwing out 7-11 cups from their windows anymore… usually it’s straw wrappers and little junk like that. Ridiculous.
Don’t ban jaywalking, or everyone in any major city is going to die.

I was going home on Thursday and saw someone throw fries out the window. They almsost hit someone in the bike lane. Then, they threw more out. At least that (kinda) means they weren’t trying to hit the bike commuter. I wanted to yell at the person when we were at the next light, but I wasn’t sure if there were kids in the car and that’s who did it. It’s really sad to see how many bags of trash there are along the roads this weekend (b/c of Earth Day cleanups)

Monica: even if it was kids, the parents should be chastised if they did not prevent it from happening. Their kids were not only littering, but were wasting their food!

My only suggestion, and this is if you have the time, is to pick up the piece of litter, follow the person to their place of residence and discard their trash at their front door. Then, proceed to do this every day with other trash that you might find in your neighborhood. I am waiting to do this to the person whose dog “litters” my lawn.

Just be sure to actually get the right person. A (seriously crazy) guy on my block has done this a couple of times to us not realizing he’s leaving it on the wrong person’s step.
