In my experience, the worst thing about bagels is when flavors mix together in a bag. Say you get a blueberry bagel and an onion bagel in the same bag. By the time you’re ready to pop a schmear on that blueberry bagel, it has morphed into a blueberry and onion bagel.
And that, my friends, is not good eats.
Perhaps bagel shops should include bagel holders with every purchase?

Or one could only purchase savoury bagels, with onion and garlic flavours…

Worst thing is Lendlers bagel. How hard is it to make a bagel? You take bread dough and boil it and then you bake it. 5,000 years ago they had bread dough. I have bought bagels from Dizzy Izzy bagels in New York. They are made by Mexicans and yet they have the taste. In l958 my father was air freighting bagels into Frankfurt, Germany and he had the monopoly on bagels for central Europe so I should know bagels. BAN LENDLERS Now.
