Double sided mailboxes

The (presumably) recent advent of double-sided mailboxes–that is, ones that can be opened from the front or the back–are one of the best inventions since Baby Jesus. They take what’s existed in post-office boxes for years and brought it to your curb. No longer do you have to dodge cars to check your mail and people that want to steal your mail now have another way to do it! It’s a win-win, really.

Buy why, oh why, do they have they be only available as hideous plastic monstrosities?

Also, this is kind of cool, especially the last bullet point: “Children love to wait for the chime, and rush out to retrieve the day’s mail.”

Boy, do they. L’il scamps.

Uh, huh. All those truant kids. Our postman comes between 10-11am…

This Ping has stood the test of time (364 days) pretty well.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
