I want to stress that this entire Ping is hypothetical.
Let’s say someone decided to get really long press-on nails for one’s fingers. Ornate, with lots of patterns and designs and other sentimental crap on them. Right? Right. Here’s a question: how does that person clean herself up after using the restroom?
And don’t answer that she has a bidet. I thought of that already, and it’s not likely.

Not sure about the answer to your question, Paul, but I once tried some acrylic nails and they were a little longer than I was hoping for, and it was absolutely impossible to take out my contacts. So instead I removed the nails.

You need to take a trip to ‘my world.’ You’d see those same nails. You wonder how the owner’s do even simplistic things like punch in your order on the terminal at McClowns or other high tech places.

hmm… would said person hold cleaning materials between her knuckles? or a toe-hold? swab on a stick?

Very carefully.
Honestly, I’m not sure. It seems tricky. The back of the hand, with the tissue wrapped around carefully?
Second on the scary list is probably washing your face. The possibilities for slipping and gouging yourself are grim.
I have trouble when my nails stick out even a mere 1/4″.

Man, I leave town for 4 days and this is what the Ping has stooped to?
Paul March 13, 2007, 1:39 pm
Stooped? You’re kidding, right?
