New Year’s Eve Plans 2006

I have yet to fulfill my “before I die” plan to make it to Times Square for New Year’s Eve and this year, once again, I’ll be doing just the opposite: a quiet night at home with the family. And, really, I’m looking forward to it.

I get the impression that a lot of Pingers are the same boat. Are any of you wild and crazy and planning on actually leaving your place of dwelling this year?

Nope. I may, indeed, celebrate “midnight” in GMT (4pm my time). At least I’ll be awake and sentient enough to enjoy it.

Maybe I’ll go out to my balcony and bang some pots and pans or light some firecrackers. That’ll teach those pesky neighbors who wake me up in the middle of the night. 😉

We’re going to a friend’s house for NYE, which is what we did last year, and it’s quite fine. A nice, smallish celebration with friends.

I have a 101 degree fever – I’m going nowhere. It seems like I’m sick every New Year’s Eve.

I plan to be asleep! I worked the past 6 days in a row in an environment filled with messy customers, some of whom shared their germs. I too did not feel like going out. I even turned down a great party with authentic Spanish cooking. Best not to make anyone else ill!

New Year’s Eve has come and gone at this point. I spent it trying to sleep. The local hoodrats felt it important to set off any explosive available for 30 minutes straight.

It’s obvious *they* didn’t have to get up this morning to go to work.

Happy New Years to all,
Ciao,

I was at a friend’s house watching “My Name is Earl” until the wee hours of the morning. We stopped at about midnight to watch the ball drop but missed it by a minute or so. So we went back to watching the DVDs

What is this then?
