That’s only because the grocery store is not open yet.

Good grief, I went to the store yesterday. Three days before Christmas. It was like a zoo, with people practically fighting over loaves of bread — that is, when the entire aisle was not blocked by shopping carts.

Never again. Next year, on the 15th I will stock up and buy a months’ worth of food. Even if I have to eat plain rice six meals in a row, it would be worth it.

Waffle House waiting on the server with MOST of her teeth.

I had just gotten home from work. On a busy Friday night, I should have 7 or 8 employees with me to help close down the store. We had 3! It was the night that people decided they didn’t want to work anymore. Seriously–thank them for their job abandonment two days before Christmas Eve. The air turns off a little after midnight (we can’t control it) so we were all mighty sweaty and unhappy by 1am.

Many thanks to those who DID come to work today!!!!!!!

I had the flu, so I’m sure you can guess where I was at 2am! : (

Sleeping, for a wonderful 5:15am wake up call for work.

a ear ago, enjoying a quiet NYC trip..Taxis and buses were on strike, so getting around the city was remarkably easy. Times Square was deserted. Felt like the guy in “28 Days Later” who wakes up to find the streets empty. Fortunately, no zombie had taken over New York..at least, no more than normal.

What is this then?
