I came across a nifty little shell extension for Windows the other day titled Folder Size. This simple, but useful, app allows you to view the size of a folder (imagine!) in Windows Explorer’s “detail” view the same way you can view file sizes. It’s a handy way of seeing and sorting large folders at a glance without having to right click and choose “properties” to see the size.
I found it slowed down the display of files in a directory just a tad, but not enough for me to uninstall. It’s a handy little app that does something Windows should do by default.
