A couple of weeks ago, I saw the amazing Denny Blaze video on YouTube titled “Average Homeboy.” In this groundbreaking video, Denny tells us that he’s “working on smoothing out [his] rapping” and that he’s not the average rapper, which to him means black, on crack, and homeless. Strangely, he’s still active, 15 years later, and has a CD and a DVD available. I would think this is some gigantic marketing gimmick, but it all seems too… real.
If you haven’t seen the “Average Homeboy” video, I urge you to watch it. Then watch it again. And then, watch it five more times.
