And before any feelings get hurt, I'd like to point out that for some reason I still type in some addresses instead of bookmarking them. I don't know why. I guess it keeps the brain tickin'.

As if to prove I'm a geek, I have the following categories in my bookmarks...politics, video games, funny, anime, and zombies. That covers about half of the links. Daily Ping, of course, gets its own top-level bookmark.

Using categories also makes it easier to clean out your list.

When Laura gets back, I'll ask her to weigh in with her digital librarian point of view.

I do all my blog reading in Bloglines - which sorts the blogs alphabetically.

When I book mark stuff these days I usually post it to delicio.us, although I'm horrible at actually tagging them with any usseful metadata.

I also use Bloglines, and sort them by category. I cannot recommend Bloglines enough--it makes things so much faster.

I have aol, and mt "favorites" are all just lsited, except xanga and ebay have sub categories, even though i am blocked from most of the links on the xanga sub categories.

I generally don't use bookmarks except for ones that I assign a keyword for in Opera (so I have my local library bookmarked and type "library" when I want to go there). However, my RSS feeds are organized in folders thusly in Sharpreader:

Friends, Mine (to either make sure my sites' feeds stay valid or to look for references/info for certain sites), Misc 1 (assorted blogs I read frequently), Misc 2 (assorted blogs I read less frequently), Movies, MP3 Blogs, Music, News, Photoblogs, Politics/Law, Products and Gadgets, Shopping, Software, Tech/Web, Veg*n, and Work.
